Opened for the 4th.
A special bottle for me. It was one of the first bottles of Madeira my parents bought for me when I was starting my Madeira exploration 30 or so years ago.
Tee type cork.
Dark, burnished bronze color with golden rim.
A hint of bottle stink but this eventually mostly blew off.
Musk melons, pralines, tangerine and grapefruit aromas. Spicy with cardamom and nutmeg.
Dense, rich, and sweet but with great acid balance. More pralines with walnuts and tangerines on the palate.
Long, sweet, citric finish.
93 points.
