I was negligent and forgot to post this topic in 2023. But it would be fun to hear the best table wines you have tasted in 2024. If people do add theirs and hopefully that will be the case, I will add my own top red and white wines I have had this year. Let's get the party started.

White was definitely the tank sample of Quinta da Pellada 2023 Primus.
I'll have to think about the red.

Roy's Top Dozen of 2024 ... Whites for me, in no particular order, a year of seriously excellent PT White wine experiences:

2022 Quevedo "Q Lab" Branco Folgasao (Douro, 100% Folgasao, IYKYK, same grape as Madeira's Terrantez!)

2018 Insula Vinus Verdelho (Pico Island, Azores by maestro Paulo Machado)

2015 Pedra Cancela "Intemporal" (Dao, Encruzado, WOW!)

2020 Antonio Macanita Palpite Reserva (Alentejano)

2015 Anselmo Mendes, Parcela Unica - en magnum (Vinho Verde)

2023 Ja Foste Branco, (Douro, translates loosely to, "you are gone" by Rembrandt)

2013 Ribeiro Santo Encruzado (Dao, Carlos Lucas)

2022 Quevedo Branco Grande Reserva (Claudia blended: Arinto, Codega, Larinho and Gourveio - Douro. It is a must buy!)

2022 Quinta do Noval Vinho Branco Reserva (Douro) *****

2011 Niepoort Redoma Branco Reserva (Douro)

2019 Azores Wine Company "Vinha Centenaria" (Pico Island, Azores, Antonio Macanita)

2014 Pera Manca Branco - en magnum (Alentejo, Cartuxa)

For red, I'm going with the new release of Quinta do Sobral Vinha da Neta Tinto. Their wines have really improved over the past year, not that they weren't terrific beforehand.

Didn't they hire on Carlos Raposo as a consultant in the last year or so? The wines were great when I visited in 2021, but I was excited when I heard they were bringing in someone else to help.

Yes, but Carlos recently left. I think he's concentrating more on his own label, that and he's consulting with a lot of other producers. He's literally tripled the production under his own label. He took over the building next door. That said, I think he really improved Sobral's wines. I went through the lineup this past June and they were spectacular, the best ever. The Neta tinto was the 2020. Oh, and Maria is at university now. She was doing a stage at Camino Cruzados in wine hospitality.
