In it's fiftieth year? Yeah, did not seem quite 50 when released. But hey, it's 50 now. 49 years in cask, 1 year in the bottle.

A snippet that I learned a couple of weeks ago is that this wine did not come from Krohn stocks but was a more recent acquisition from a family who had full IVP/IVDP paperwork to show it is properly a 1976 Colheita.

Good to know! The 1976 Krohn is well-known amongst this crowd, so it would be interesting to compare them. Mine have all been in bottle for quite a while, though - they all pre-date the Taylor acquisition and were acquired through Premier Cru before it went under.
