High Bridge Port Club met on Friday 04/17/2026. Small group tasting 4 @ 20 Year Tawnies and 1 @ 10 Year old. All were recently purchased at Portugalia Marketplace in Fall River MA. Normally, I shy aware from 10 Years, just not enough there there, but Mike W sang its' praises so decided to include---a good call thanks to Mike as it really held its' own. Aside from the Pacheca, I've not had these so it was lovely to try.
Couple of odd thoughts and notes:
1. Initially the Borges had a really poor, almost off-putting nose, but the taste was just so good (improved over time)
2. The Messias had a very nice nose, but tasted poorly.
3 Murcas punched above its' weight for sure.

Re: Easy Tawny Tasting Results
Messias don’t surprise me. I can’t recall ever being wowed by their tawnys.
Nice tasting and surprised to see that 10 yr hold its own.

That’s a really interesting tasting, thank you for sharing the results. There are a lot of those wines I just never get to try.
