Many interesting Portuguese wines and Ports

Tonight was held in Montreal a tasting with almost all the wines from the portfolio of Enotria wine agency.
I'll keep this short
I discovered wines from the CARM producer in the Douro superior, the CARM Douro 2003 is a very nice QPR and the CARM Grande Eschola 2003 is a nice wine for mid term cellar with lot of intensity on the nose and the mouth. Seek their wines and their olive oil, it really worth it
Then I discovered the Qta do Crasto LBV 1997: I was surprised by the complexity it gained on the nose. The mouth was simple on the attact but so silky, just like a 20 years old but then the finale was powerful showing dusty tannins.
Quinta do Valle Meao 2001 Vintage is wonderful, so charming with its intense and floral notes on the first nose, then its richness and jammyness of its fruits only Vesuvio rivals. Truly impressive for the Vintage.
Qta Vale Dona Maria Douro red wine 2002: Much more rustic in style than what the new boys are using us to but still showing lots of class. Very interesting wine for those who don't like the full jammy style, but I like both.
Quinta do Vallado 10 years old Tawny. If was not impress by the red wines of this quinta showing too much bubble bum fruit flavors, this blend is impressive, in my top 3 10 year old tawny. I'll buy a few when this wine will arrive in march.
Quinta vale dona Maria Vintage 2003: Very good but showing overripe notes for me. When dates, cooked cherries flavors are dominant and no freshness on the mouth or nose, I'm not a big fan. But this wine shows fantastic concentration and depth.
Other wines where also tasted but these are the ones that interested me the most. It cost me quite a few bucks!
