2003 Quinta do Vale Meão Douro Meandro - Portugal, Douro (10/28/2005)
Tasted at Quinta do Crasto in the Douro - Very dark. Much less oaky than the Crasto. Nice honest fruit nose. Nice entry – coffe – cocoa. Almost Chateauneuf du Pape like. I like this. Needs a year or two. Long finish. (90+? pts.)

Tasted in October. Not my cup of tea. Not much fruit showing thru, too much smoke and black licorice, almost Ouzo like. I have lots more, so I'm hoping this improves, or it was not a indicitive bottle, maybe opened too soon after receiving.
