TN: 2004 Lavradores de Feitoria Três Bagos

After reading Richard Mayson's admiration for the Lavradores de Feitoria cooperative in his "Port and the Douro" book, I've been on the lookout for these well priced wines. This one showed an abundance of black cherry with hints of earth and minerals. Quite a bit of complexity for a $13 wine. A hint of rhone-ish gaminess on the finish. Medium to light in body with well balanced structure. Very food friendly and enjoyable... but I must admit that although this possesed more complexity than the 2003 version, I prefered the 2003 for it's more lush and opulent fruit.

The second day with the wine saw this flesh out a bit more in the middle. I also, however, started to notice the rather short finish.
