As I mentioned in the Port Basics, we had this with Stilton Cheese and the pairing was incredible.
This vintage port is awesome. Smooth, fruity, well balanced, always a tasty, even keel of a sip. What a bargain too for such a vintage, you can get these for less than $50 most places. A definite bang for your buck. It's highly rated and I can see why.
We decanted it at first, didn't notice much sediment at all. Then, we poured and sipped. All heads nodded in approval. Fruit comes at you evenly. Smooth all the way towards the end when I know I tried to top off. We polished off the bottle swearing we'd get more.
Highly recommend with Cheese.
