Glass for Douro wine

There are many type of glass design for as many type of grapes or region, but yet nothing for Douro wines. I've made many experiments in the past years and share them with some Douro wine makers and guess what! The most pleasure I get from a glass when I want to drink a Douro wine is from a Burgundy baloon glass. Some do agree for a few wines they make but yet at no tables int he Douro there is a definitive type of glass everyone uses.
I do believe that the high acidity impression of Douro wines on the palate compared to Bordeaux for exemple serves them better in Burgundy glass. The wines gets on the tongue a bit futher for the acidity to strike less on the entry. The shapes also enhance the nice and rich aromatic compoments these can develop.
Try it and give me your impression. I'm now converted!
