Appearance: Fully opaque eggplant color
Nose: purity of grape essence, blueberry pie, spirit, cocoa powder
Flavor: blackberry, bright and explosive
Mouthfeel: Velvety smooth yet, chewy and concentrated
Body: Full after the first day open and quite round
Balance: I'd like to see a bit more acidity
Tannin: dusty and still showing power, albeit not astringent
Finish: Long and chocolate laden with a gentle touch of heat that lingers on and on
Window: Drink this brash youngster now through 2016+.
