NV Broadbent Auction Reserve Port

Yesterday I attended a wine tasting for a California distributor and Broadbent Selections was there doing a small seminar on Port and Madeira. The seminar was very well put on, albeit a bit simple if you already knew about Port and Madeira  . They had a sampling of various Ports and two Madeira's to taste as part of the seminar.

This Ruby is a blend of young Ports between 3-5 years old. It was what you'd expect from a basic Ruby Port, nothing flashy or extravagant but a well made Ruby that was sharp and easy drinking. 83 points.

This is one of the better entry/ruby ports in my opinion. T-cork yet can be decanted. Made by Niepoort.

This - along with Graham's Six Grapes - is one of the only basic rubies that I drink. I buy it in half bottles to use as gap fillers when I don't want to open a full bottle of something else.
