The label on this bottle noted that the wine had been "matured in wood" and "bottled in 1988".
There was some fine sediment that had built up along the side of the bottle, but as soon as I went to decant the wine it reintegrated back into the wine, so the wine itself was a bit cloudy.
The color was a toffee, slightly orange color. The nose was dominated by oranges. The taste was pure caramel. The alcohol was a bit hot upon first opening, but I double decanted it and that took care of that. Overall, a very pleasant bottle that won't be getting any better. Drink up.
