Hi Roy,

I'm thinking of buying this VP and thus would be very interested in reading a TN for it. In short, is this a lovely, mature VP? Thanks.

Morten,

Some felt it was over the hill. My contrarian view was that it was a lovely and elegant fully mature Port that was drinking very well. Nicely balanced with secondary nuances that bordered tertiary flavors but the structure was soft and fully intact. I would say this would have been considerably better 5-10 years ago, but I really enjoyed it quite a bit and at the right price would drink it for consumption over the next few years, without hesitation.

It was a very enjoyable bottle even being just a tad past its prime. Worth getting a bottle or two if the price is right.
