First off, I'd like to say that this site is a fantastic port resource. I've been on the site for 5-6 hours the last few days and have learned plenty!
I'm curious if anyone has any information on the Cabral port house? I'm curious to learn about the house that bearns my name.
Thank you!

Simon, I've tasted almost everything that was made from Cabral 2 years ago with the owner.
If you want to have fun, focus on the young products. The ruby and vintage charater are full of fruit and fun to drink, the 10 years old tawny offer lots of caramel, toffey flavour, almost too much, but people like it. For the 20,30,40 years old, I would avoid them as there is nut much left except volatil acidity and alcool. I've also had the Vintage 1997 that was OK but again to enjoy in its youth.

Thanks for your reply Fred.
I think I'll pick up a few bottles in Hull next week when on business in Ottawa. The LCBO doesn't seem to carry the brand.
