For The Love Of Port

1908 Cockburn
Light brown, with a hint of cedar and fine cold tea. A core of light dates and a thread of alcohol lead to a length that is moderate in length. The tannins have finally resolved after 100 years, so drink up if you have any bottles left in your cellar.

Nicos my brother, we agree on so many Ports in this Cockburn's tasting and so many more dozens over the years we've been drinking Port together.

But this one, the 1908 I found so much pleasure in, and it was my 2nd favorite VP of the tasting after the surreal 1912. FWIW, I know Miguel also liked this as his 2nd favorite too. It had so much gorgeous, elegant fruit left ... I guess we were bound to disagree on one or two, eh? :hello:

I also have to disagree with Nicos on this one. I really liked it too and thought the finish was quite long. After a 100 years this was still going strong. And my Ports of the night were #1-1912, #2- 1947, #3- 1935 (right side 1/2 bottle)
