Get 'em while they remain on sale if you are considering them at all.

Hey ... I notice those RH scores, too funny!

I got this in my email and noticed that too. I hope you get a commission on any sales as a result.

Personally, I am amazed at the price of the Sercial from the early 20th century. That seems like a real dream wine to me.

Not to mention, although this is off topic with apologies, they are offering a Huet 1961 moelleux from the Loire, a magnificent sweet chenin blanc, for $195. That raised my eyebrows, I want that one.

Roy, not so funny.
I remember Taylors Fladgate posting your notes!
Now I can brag I know you.

I have seen the RH scores from time to time in retail shops all over the USA and two in Canada as well. Lots appear up here but that is because the importers are close by and it is in their best interests. Yes in Portugal, The Fladgate Partnership, Symington Family Estates, Quinta do Portal, Noval and many others list my scores and partial TNs on their websites and promo materials. It still feels strange to see it in writing that way. I remember the first time at Croft's Lodge and was really blown away then. It no longer has that same affect, but it does bring a smile.

I still feel some sort of compensation is owed to Roy for using his scores for the purpose of selling wines - either in cash or 100+(+) year old madeira bottles.

Funny guy. It is just the way it works. They can use your scores, even if they are copyrighted, without permission and you just accept that and realize they are helping to spread the name so you do nothing. There's certainly no compensation!

There can be no greater crime. My patrician sensibilities have been most grieviously offended. May their souls rot in mud for a thousand GWB administrations. :soapbox:

Fortunately the world has room for a few purists.
