I trust you are aware the RWC is still selling these wines. OK, how much are they?

Jason,
How much are you asking for the bottles? That might make selling them a little easier if people knew the price you were asking.
Also, we are a real names forum. I need you to change your username to comply with that. Thanks.
Here is the instructions on how to change it

Agreed Andy - and I am awaiting your TNs from yesterday - not on the ports.

Jason I am interested in this wine and have a friend who will assist me with the financing of it. I would like to know what methods of payment you accept. Could you also please advise what the shipping might be to WA (subject to approval from the destinee). My colleague here in Canada will call me back later today. He seemed quite shocked at this excellent buying opportunity. Personally, having thoroughly enjoyed a 10 YO boal over Christmas, this deal has me salivating.
Cheers,
Ray

Hi Ray,
guess shipping will be around $30 with insurance via FedEx.
I would accept payment via personal check, money order, or western union.
Best Regards,
Jason

Thanks Jason - I am expecting a call from my financier later today. If you have a chance to make an immediate sale in the interim though I won't hold you up from doing that. :) Have you - or others here - had these wines before?
Cheers,
Ray

Hi,
nope, I have never tried them. I did open a bottle of the 1853 King Pedro V port at the time I bought these, and thought that was fantastic.

Gotta admit, in light of this revelation, that I am surprised you are trying to sell these wines.

I've had both and they are VERY solid bottlings!
I've had the 1834 about 15-18x now and although I am no longer excited by it, it is always a very very good drink. The 1863 is also wonderful. Ray you can check my TNs in the Madeira database.
As to insuring bottles of wine ... since it is not legal to ship from one individual to another ... you can't insure wine. In fact, it is best if FEDex has no idea wine is in the box. This may vary in some states, but you surely can't ship wine into BC where Ray lives ... at least not legally.
There are other means of course.

Roy is it ok with you if I discuss your notes here? I have read them already and have some concerns. Or shall I contact you privately?
As for the BC legislations you are of course correct. I think I get the gist of the

too. :)

I had one experience of 3 with the 1863 that was less than favorable, however it was clearly an off bottle. The other two experiences were very positive including the last one that was featured in the current newsletter. So don't worry about the one bad one ... those experiences with Madeira ... are extremely rare.
