I should add that these are not only really tasty, but they come from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Cao and Souzao which are Douro, Port cultivars.
However the vineyard source is Sage Canyon, in Napa.
These are small release, multi-vintage blends. The 1st release was 77 cases and the second was only 98 cases.
Enjoy!

How do they compare to, say, the Ficklin which is also made from Portuguese grapes?

Outside of the Ficklin 10 year old Tawny and especially the 1991 vintage Ficklin, the Miller is on a par. In other words, although NOT what we know as Port ... they are close replicas that taste very good. Remind me and I'll open one for you when we next get together.

Sounds great! I have a second bottle for you to try, also. I think you've had it before, but it's not listed in your TNs here so maybe not.

These were served blind last night for my wife and a couple of friends. Nobody guessed that they weren't from Portugal. To the wine's credit, it equates nicely to a Reserve Ruby or even a lighter style of LBV and honestly, I don't know that I would guess "blind" that these were not from Portugal.
