Just been to Harrods and they have quite a number of the Riedel glasses in the sale which finishes next weekend. I have bought 2 of the port glasses from the Somemelier range which were £40 down to £30 with an extra 10% off (this weekend only). There were other glasses included but I can't remember them all.

Does anyone use any of the Riedel decanters for thier port as I was unsure of which one would be best suited, if any.

For decanters, foolishly I bought many that were beautiful and offered form and function but I overlooked one key component. They contain lead crystal, and that lead is absorbed into your system and never leaves and just keeps leeching in until ...

So my strong recommendation to folks looking to buy decanters is to find non-leaded crystal decanters that can be used not only to aerate and remove sediment, but for storage of wine as well. The leaded ones are fine for holding wine for a very short term ... solely from a health standpoint.

Others might not mind having lead in their systems, but I probably have enough unwanted "stuff" in mine, that the last thing I need is lead too.
