Relatively shy when first opened, with a hint of spirit. Tasted again after 6 hours, where the palate fleshed out with an abundance of deep, ripe, rich, dark fruits. This felt like I slurping freshly mashed sugar plums, pulpy blueberries and sweet blackberries. So fresh and lively on the palate with prickly acidity. After 12 hours this became a perfectly integrated, silky, hedonistic port, with absolutely no overt spirit. I was amazed at how well this drank and at times wondered about its agability due to how well it drank. No punishing tannins... but perhaps it is hidden by the young, plush, fleshy fruit? Supremely delicious.

I must say that for me this was perhaps the best VP 2005, that I´ve tasted, although the VP 2005 from Messias it´s also very good.

Thanks for the note on this one. For quite some time I've had a bottle of this on Death Row. Every time I have planned on opening it something else comes up and I end up not opening it. It's a bottle that has sorta become a running joke to myself...."one century I'll open it."
