1934 Niepoort Colheita (bottled 1978)
Golden brown that fades to a yellowish green. Some VA on the nose but otherwise toffee, crème brulee, and Carmalized nuts. A thick palate with lots of acidity, carmel, vanilla, oak, tea leaves, some brown sugar and some faint tannins. Its only downfall was a slightly short finish, but this picked up a lot of weight as time went on. Probably would have gotten a better score with even more decanting. 93 points
