2007 Fonseca Vintage Port -- (cask sample)

Tasted 6/9/2009 at McCarthy & Schiering in Seattle
TFP Vintage Port tasting with special guest Robert Bower
2007 Fonseca Vintage Port (cask sample)
A little darker than the Croft, with correspondingly darker fruits in the nose and palate - much "bluer" overall than the croft, but not inky black like the 1994 or 1985. Grippier tannins than the Croft, but not to the point of smacking you in the face. Good acidity as well, so this feels like a wine to forget about and come back to in 30 years (or more).
