Another solid performace, combining the fruit of a typical 10 year tawny with the nutty complexity of a 20 year tawny. Medium weight and finish, but great balance. (90)

This was the best 10 year tawny I tasted in Portugal last year and I was concerned my judgement was clouded by "vacation goggles". My concerns were quickly relieved. This bottle (with a bottling date of 2007) showed the viscosity, depth and complexity I remembered. Somewhere between a 10 and 20 year in texture. Luscious caramel flavors with dried fruits and wonderful acidity. I remember paying about $20 in Portugal for this last year and this bottle is now over $30. Still worth the price, but getting close to my limit for the genre. (90)
