1998 Quinta de Ventozelo LBV Port

A TN on the fly...
Quinta de Ventezelo LBV 1998.
Luscious dark berries, earth tones and anise. Rich and full, this LBV is better than some VPs I have had. Extremely good stuff. Possessing an intense, grapey nose. Cocoa and dark cherries present on the mid-palate and the follow through, although short and clipped, is tasty. This Port I could drink forever. Possibly a contender to be one of my top all time favourite LBVs.
Produced in the "traditional" way, this LBV requires decanting as there is an abundance of thick, dirty crust. This Port never sticks around for long in my house. I was hoping to try to stretch it out over 5-6 days to see if the intensity dropped off, but after two days, sadly, there will be no long-term report from this bottle. Again.
I can never have enough of this on hand. One of my top "daily drinkers" of the past 6 months since I discovered it.
