Warre 1963 2 hours
Pale and delicate in appearance, clear rim and showing signs of age. Sweet fruit cake on the nose, with chestnuts and eucalyptus. Sweet entry, bringing raisins and soft syrup. Mid palate develops some nice red fruits over the top of the fruit cake. The aftertaste is a touch hot to start, leaving tingling cheeks before fading to a lovely choclately length. Disappointingly, I felt that the mid-palate of this wine lacked something and was too simple to regard this as a top flight wine. 92/100
