Auction at Christies South Kensington on February 20

Is anyone on this board planning on being at the auction in person? I plan to be there in person (to maximise my flexibility with my budget!) and it would be fun to meet up with anyone else also planning to be there.
Drop me a reply or a PM and let me know.

Do you want someone to split any lots with you? I like the look of the Fonseca.

Trevor,
To be honest, the Fonseca was not one of the wines that I was looking to buy. I was looking more at some of the mixed lots and wasn't really looking to split any.

Trevor,
Which vintage is the Fonseca and how much do you think it will go for?
If it's something on my wish list and the price is right I may be interested in splitting it with you. We might even be able to persuade Alex to do the bidding for us

Derek,
I was thinking of going close to the top of the estimate, say something like £275.
Alex,
When I contacted Christies and spoke with them they said that though they do all in their power to ensure the provenance of what they sell they didn't think it was a good idea for me as a first time buyer to go for one of these mixed lots. He didn't qualify it any further than that though so good luck. There does seem to be some interesting lots (though not many of them)

Trevor,
Which Lot are you looking at - I can't find a Fonseca in the catalogue at this price!

I didn't bid in the end as I have high hopes for some of the lots at Bonhams. Did anyone else win this lot?

The Fonseca went for £280 in the end - roughly £27 per bottle, which is a good price for the wine which seems to retail around £30-35 per bottle.
