Quinta do Noval 1963 in UK

For anyone within reach of Berry Brothers wine shop in Basingstoke, when I was there on Wednesday they had some broking stock in from a private client. Included were 8 bottles of Quinta do Noval 1963 that had been stored in a private cellar, had no labels and had levels around top to mid-shoulder.
They were charging £45 per bottle. They have 7 left.

Thats a good price I payed 41 including auction costs 2 years ago

I had some Noval 63 at a BBR tasting in December - I wonder if it was from the same stock?
I did not rate it very highly; but that is a good price, all considered

I'll be opening the bottle I bought next week, probably. I'll post what I think (maybe after having bought a couple more bottles).

So Alex, you are assuming these are going to be good, eh?
Not at all concerned with the fill level?

I am concerned at the fill level, the bottle is clearly ullaged with a fill level around top shoulder but I believe that this is fairly reflected in the price.
In addition, I had the honest answer from the shop assistant - who had tried the wine when it first came in from the bottle with the worst fill level - that the wines were drinking well, but needed drinking up.
If the bottle I open and try next week is enjoyable (and if the shop still has any of the bottles left) I will buy a couple more. If not, then it was money spent on an experiment and was worth the gamble.
I'm looking forward to the experiment next week.
