NV Fonseca Bin 27 Port

Ok - I'm late on parade
I wasn't planning to take part, but someone gave me a bottle for my birthday - so here goes.
Firstly, my bottle says neither 'Finest reserve' nor just 'Reserve', but 'Fine Reserve'. The label has a different design to the illustration - I have no way of knowing how old it is, but there was no reason to suspect it wasn't new.
I decanted the bottle out of curiosity - there was a pinch of fine sediment
Quite a prominant fruity bouquet - bit jammy on the palate - but oh, what a fiery finish...
Not bad - quaffable, although it's youth is evidenced by the desire to clean one's teeth after each glass...
- slightly better, I would say, than Warrior - and certainly better than First Estate, but lagging Delaforce's Paramount.
What to drink next? - A drip mark on the cellar floor has sealed the fate of a Taylor '60 ...
