1992 Niepoort
This bottle celebrates the 150 years of Niepoort (1842 – 1992). Stood up for 24 hours, decanted 12 hours ahead of time. This was my Christmas breakfast Port, along with a slab of Roquefort and crackers and a few other tasty morsels. This is the 4th bottle I have drank in the last 7 years. Deep red, the nose shows a fruit driven Christmas cake style, with a nice spicy edge to it. Dry fig, sweet and rich but not too complex at the moment. Enjoyable and still youthful, this can be drunk now and over the next 30+ years. 90/100.
