2007 Quevedo Vintage Port

Deep red, very youthful and nosing of subdued blackcurrants. Dry entry, with lots of blackcurrant fruit and some big firm but gentle tannins behind the fruit. Quite a dry port but not at the expense of the levels of fruit. Nice dry aftertaste and a finish of decent length. One to buy and hold, an impressive port. 88/100. Snapshot tasting on 11 Feb 2010 on a pop 'n' pour basis.

To bad you didn't get to spend time with this one. It shows better after an extended decanting of a day or so.

I agree, when I had the chance to spend some more time with it, I rated this in the low 90s.

But there was only a half bottle and there were 8 of us...

1/2 bottle for 8 people won't even wet the whistle

Glad to see your other score was a bit higher.

I've now had three bottles of this Port. I was less enthused with a snapshot pop n pour and scored it 87. Two subsequent bottles tasted over 3-4 days and I was at 93 and 94 points. It picked up considerable the longer it was open.

So what did the other seven people drink?
