First tasting note, so bear with me.

Clear orange rim with tawny center. Clean nose of fruit and some walnut that carries over into the taste. Medium to full body with a nice viscosity and a bit of pleasant alcohol at the end.
very good QPR.

Nice note, thank-you. [cheers.gif]
I'll consider trying this, in particular if I place an order with one of the merchants that carries it. I see it can be found in the US for $25.

Eric,

It should be said that I paid about 15US for it here in Denmark, but even at 25 I would be happy although I don't have much to compare with.

Denmark is an important market for Burmester, as it is for Niepoort as well. I am always impressed by the Danes' lust for Port, given the population it is really impressive.

The importer just bought 300.000 bottles from Burmester and have had a huge sale the last few months of colheitas from 1937 and up. Apparently he already sold one third of the bottles.

I agree with your tasting note Claus, very good QPR.

300,000 bottles suddenly on the market. That might explain the sudden appearance of Burmester 10 yo Tawny on the Paesanos wine list.
