Showing black pepper, raisin, Chambord, and burnt sugar. Pleasing (if a bit scorching) heat, powerful but smooth tannins. More raisin on the very long finish. Young but deliciously promising, I love the character of this wine, mixing some tawny elements with big fruit. My score is probably stingy. In any case, this should score much higher with time. 93 points. Tasted 6/11/2008, from 375ml bottle.
