TN: 2005 Casa de Casal de Loivos Douro

Initally this came off as being very jammy on the palate and I looked to see what the ABV was (13.5%). Plenty of fruit and tannins, but seemed to lack the acidity to keep it fresh and survive long term. Although it did go well with the meats on the BBQ, I'd recommend drinking this over the next few years. 89 Points (89 pts.)
