2008 Oscar's
Plenty of white cherry and chalk dominate the nose. While this may be an inexpensive bottle (apq $7-9 retail) don't let that fool you. There is plenty of rhubarb, tart cherries, some tar, and a lot of very dry dusty tannins put this in the very upper tier of wines in this price range. And too boot I was surprised by the fruit filled and tannic medium length finish. I fully admit I wasn't expecting such a well rounded wine, as most in this price range are very lean and simple. This is a no-brainer buy for anyone looking for an inexpensive, yet very well made Douro wine. 86 Points

Didn't you have the original "UK" version which was leaner (less fruit forward)? I got the "American" version and quite liked the fruit forwardness of it, which many wines in this price range simply don't have.
