1949 Ribeiro & Ferreira Carvalho Bairrada Garrafeira ???

Post by psmith »

Anyone know what this is? I know it's not Douro, but I thought somewhat here might recognize it. I know the region and have done a bit of reading on it, but I don't have any idea about the longevity or quality of this wine.

I bought a bottle of it a couple of weeks ago at $50, knowing full well that it might be dead or just not very good....but I'm a sucker for obscure wines. There is a "rebottled in 1966" declaration on the label as well.

Any help would be appeciated.
