Looking for Niepoort VP 1987

Post by fern »

As a gift to my husband. One of the first VPs we tried and what started the craze.
Thanks for the help.

Ooh 'eck - a girl!

Welcome to the boards Fern. We need to know where you are to help you source it.
I'm telling you - Port is from Portugal.

Dallas, Texas.
This is my husband's account. Don't worry - I'll be out of the forum after I can find his gift.

For full disclosure, I asked Fern to post her question here for your gents to be of some help in sourcing a bottle or two for her.

Oh no, don't run away - the other [STRIKE]geeks[/STRIKE] guys here would never forgive me - they haven't had female contact for a very long time.

I did a search on Wine-Searcher and couln't find any in the USA let alone Texas. I think we need Roy and the other Americans to help. Good luck.

Larissa,

Please take no notice of KillerB - he simply doesn't know how to treat a lady :?

You will find this wine for sale from many European merchants on http://www.wine-searcher.com - you may have to sign-up for the "Pro-version" to see all of these.

Please take care when ordering as most of the Niepoort 1987 listed is Colheita, not Vintage Port.

Good luck

Derek

My first thought was Raymond Reynolds (Niepoort agent in UK) may be able to point you toward someone. Next shot (not checked for how competitive the price is) but philglas-swiggot have it on their web site.
