I just had an e-mail from Tesco telling me that they have 25% off all wines until 5th December - the Sainsbury offer ends on 2nd Dec, or will they extend it now?

Dare I say that you guys have enough wars of your own

Seriously, you guys might want to consider setting up some sort of port buying co-operative to enable you to share the cost of shipping from the UK. Some of the prices we get over here are crazy and you are all missing out on the fun

That sounds like a great idea to me. Any West coast people interested? I'm not sure how we could get orders shipped to seperate west coast addresses, but perhaps a volunteer could have everything shipped to them and then people could drive, hop, or skip over to their location and pick up their share of the booty?

Alternatively, jump on a cheap flight to the UK ($199 return) and come shopping in Tesco. I can supply the address of the Tesco or Sainsbury nearest to any of the major UK airports. With a luggage allowance of 23 kg that's roughly 2 dozen bottles - but the transport costs would work out to be the equivalent of an additional $8 per bottle on top of your purchase price.

So maybe no bargain there - but just think of the welcome you'd get from the forumites on this side of the Pond and the wines that would be opened in your honour......
