Tasted first time during 2012 FTLOP Harvest Tour when José Maria Calem was the winemaker guest at the DOC-lunch. During the above mentioned lunch I gave it 84 pts. Had it again at a Porto-restaurant in May 2014, and again 84 pts. In both occasions I believe the decanting time was very limited. Produced abt 3,000 bottles. Brought home one bottle after the 2012 Harvest Tour and consumed it during the 2014 Christmas days. Based on the above experiences I decided to extend the decanting time, and that worked well. After abt 2 hrs this red wine opened up and ended up at 89 pts.
2.5 hrs decanting. Dark red with a tiny light rim. Deep subdued aroma of fruits with touch minerals and oak. After abt 2 hrs decanting these aromas became more clear. Full body. Good combination of smoothness and power. Lots of fruit with oak and minerals and good tannins. Quite long aftertaste. 89 pts.
