January 2007.

We are pleased to be able to offer: Recently purchased from a University college in England:

Prices are per case 12 bottles:

We can offer:

25 Cases Warre 1963 £1095:00 case

Extremely impressive, with beautifully balanced, harmonious sweet fruit on the palate. Medium ruby-red, ripe cherry and cassis aromas, medium-bodied, with rich, velvety fruit flavors, full, soft tannins and a powerful finish. 92/100 WS

25 cases Graham 1966 £1095:00 case

Elegant, silky and youthful, this is a sexy wine. Medium ruby-red, showing aromas of plums, chocolate and ripe fruit. The palate follows through with a bounty of sweet plum flavors and a fleshy mouth-feel. It should continue to improve with age. 93/100 WS

25 cases Warre 1966 £895:00 case

There is still plenty of fresh, youthful fruit here. Medium ruby-red, with an intense floral and berry nose, medium-bodied, with rich, sweet fruit flavors, medium tannins and a lingering finish. Very good fruit. 91/100 WS

25 cases Graham 1970 £895:00 case

This is an extremely full-bodied, powerful wine, but it still retains a classy balance. Deep ruby, with chocolate and berry aromas, full-bodied, with anise and dried cherry flavors, full, hard tannins and a long finish. Good now but a few more yearsof bottle age would improve it. 94/100 WS

All ports are offered subject to remaining unsold and to final confirmation. E&OE

The problem now is that the universities have realised that they are sitting on a nice valuable stock of wines, and as a result are now charging normal prices. I used to be able to get the likes of Taylors and Grahams 70 for £40 per bottle and 85's for £20.

I blame Winesearcher.....
