1974 Barros Colheita

Post by Eric Menchen »

(Bottled 2015. Special Carnation Revolution edition.)
Not getting a lot of aroma out of this one; just some slight spirit, and slight floral soapy character. The flavor has good sugar complexity, with brown sugar and some sugar syrup baked in a pan to browning. O.k., but weak in comparison (after 1941, 1965 Kopke, and 1961 Calem Colheitas). 89 points.

Bummer on this. The Noval of the same vintage is quite good.
