2007 Quinta do Crasto LBV

Bottled 2012. Darker than the previously tasted 2003 LBV, with a magenta hue, garnet on the rim. Tight, dark fruit aromas, with blackberry, blueberry, bay leaf, and cinnamon. Then some slightly musty leather. Juicy fresh fruit in the mouth, peach and plum. Very tasty and enjoyable, but whereas the 2003 could compete with VP, this isn't quite as complex. Also, this is more on the fruit side and not as balanced. 90 points.
