Blackett 20 year old tawny port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottled 2014. Decanted 1.5 hrs. Getting the impression that it is older than 20 years. Medium cognacbrown colour. Aroma dominated by citrus and oak in a nice harmony. Full body. Powerful and exciting rich taste of citrus, oak and with touch of minerals. There is a bitterness in a nice subdued way, but it is sharper towards the end. Acidity/sweetness well balanced. Generally a well-structured 20 years old tawny which is slightly on the sweet side. Long aftertaste. 92 pts.
