6x 2011 Taylor VP, 375ml
I was again outbid trying to buy 2011 Dow. I first failed to buy my original bottles (750ml) a second time when they went for 3x what I paid the first time. This time 375ml bottles were up for auction and I was sniped. I suppose if I had wanted those in 375ml more I would have put in a higher bid to start. They were only a little bit more per ml than I paid the first time.

May I ask, why did you sell your original 2011 Dow's?Eric Menchen wrote:6x 2011 Taylor VP, 375ml

Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
I did not sell them. I purchased them from Premier Cru. Premier Cru went bankrupt and I never received them. Premier Cru's wine stock was sold en masse to an auction house as part of the bankruptcy. Some people purchased wine that Premier Cru never possessed. Some people made purchases that Premier Cru had, but had not delivered. There was a separate class action lawsuit filed on behalf of those in the second category, as the legal argument can be made that these bottles were in fact owned by the purchasers, but the end result didn't get anyone their wines.Thomas V wrote:May I ask, why did you sell your original 2011 Dow's?

I recognize those. I'm foomench on that site, and presume you are Dinger44. I'll try to remember that--I wouldn't want to drive up a bid price against a fellow FTLOPer.John M. wrote:One each of the following VPS: ...

Well that is a fun bottle. The magnum format will help with age, but that wasn't a great time for Noval either. EnjoyBert VD wrote:my first magnum, and it's my birthyear

A 2010 Pocas LBV from a good B&M I haven't been to in a while.
1 x 1960 Martinez VP
1 x 1994 Churchill VP
The latter two from auction. Dubious ports, but the price seemed right so I took a chance.
