TN: 2011 Quinta do Vallado Reserva
Dark color. Needed about an hour to open up. Really great nose. Concentrated plum and black cherry. This follows through on the palate with plum, sour cherry, chocolate and some subtle wood. It's an intense wine, but it is totally balance by lots of acidity. I love the fact that it's not over extracted and also not hammered by oak. A great Douro and the best Vallado that I can remember having. 94 points
