TN: 2009 C.V. Curriculum Vitae (van Zeller) Douro red

Post by Rune EG »

Decanted 3.5 hrs. Deep purple colour with tiny light rim. A nice combination in the aroma consisting of minerals, dark red berries and some oak. Medium to full body. Taste is powerful, fruity and fresh. Minerals are to some extent demanding including the acidity at the end. Medium length aftertaste. 93 pts.

I think that I have a few of these in my cellar. Do you recommend opening one up now or waiting?

I have given 94 pts one time, then 92-93. Also for a non-posted bottle it was 93 pts.
I am not going to wait too long with that wine.

Ok, thanks! It seems like many 2009 Douro wines are ready.
