TN: 2011 Niepoort Batuta Douro red

Decanted 5 hrs. Some tiny sediments. Cork in perfect condition. Deep purple colour. Aroma is quite deep and definitely complex (concentration of minerals, oak and also fruit. Touch of something smoked). Full body. Powerful with an overall well-structured impression. Oak, minerals, soil in excellent harmony. Acidity/sweetness-balance is nice, although the acidity is increasing towards the end. Very close to get one more point but ended at 95 pts.
