TN: 2011 Bulas Grande Reserva Douro red

Purchased at Bulas Wine Bar, Porto September 2019. Bottled 2017. Decanted 2 hrs which was suitable. No sediments. Deep purple colour with a light rim. Fresh, rich fruity aroma with hint of something floral. Full body. Powerful, quite elegant, some minerals and oak with herbs in the background. A pleasant wine, but it is lacking “personality”. A bit on the dry side. Structure is good, and the acidity/sweetness works well. Medium length aftertaste. 88 pts.
