TN: 2010 Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte Douro red

Decanted 6 hrs, which was OK. Some fine sediments at decanting. Cork in perfect condition. Dark purple colour with light rim. Exciting aroma of berries, herbs and minerals. Medium body. Some power at start and also elegant. Taste showing some oak and soil. Well-balanced acidity/sweetness and a good structure. A pleasant Douro red from a year which had some challenges. Slightly lighter than previous Vinha da Ponte-vintages. Long aftertaste. 93 pts.
