Tasting note based on two bottles consumed at two different occasions this summer (a week apart). As the tasting notes were more or less identical, I post it as one.
Grapes 35% Malvasia Fina, 35% Gouveio, 15% Arinto and 15% Avesso. Alc. 12.5%
No decanting. Straight from the wine cellar. Experience is that this Douro white needs more decanting time to open up (next bottle will try 1.5 hrs). Yellow colour with a green touch. Crispy and fresh dry fruity aroma with a touch of diesel. Medium to full body. In the taste it has a dry entrance with nice fruit but also including hints of raw vegetables. Well-structured wine where the main elements works well together. Also, good acidity/sweetness-balance. Nice minerals. Medium length aftertaste. 90 pts.
