Noval's table wines

Post by Ronald Wortel »

This article on Wineanorak.com gives a nice introduction to the table wines of Quinta do Noval. From the description, they sound like it's worth it to check them out! At the bottom of the page there is a link to an article on 2004 in the Douro with loads of TN's.

Ronald,
They are very sold wines. When Roy gets the last installment of the trip out (hopefully when he gets back from vacation), give it a read 8)

The Noval wines are very good indeed as is Romaneira. I have tasting notes on all of them that will be released shortly (along with more than 100 new ones), but will only be provided for the Partnership Program members.

I tasted the Cedro do Noval last weekend. A very good wine indeed. I could only bring a few bottles back on the plane, but the experience of the Cedro was enough stimulance to make sure that the Quinta do Noval Douro 2004 was one of them. 8--)

I tasted the cedor last night, very nice after 2 days with half in a bottle. Nice spice, noticable tannins, something to ponder.

Cedor is coming to Quebec within the next 2 weeks, I'll surely give it a shot!
